Save the date, Monday, October 13th, for the tenth annual Taste of La Jolla. Taste and tour La Jolla's finest gourmet restaurants. Whether you crave Asian-fusion, gourmet French, zesty pizza, Spanish tapas, or exquisite sweets, the upcoming Taste of La Jolla will have something that pleases your palate and satisfies your cravings. Join this unique social occasion for a festive, progressive offering of tasteful hors d’oeurves taking place at diverse restaurants all around La Jolla. Sponsored by the Foundation of La Jolla High School, all proceeds benefit La Jolla High School.
Over 20 popular eateries will present their favorite repast. Each restaurant will offer specially-prepared dishes for the evening which, according to the nearly 600 attendees from last year, these small-plate servings add up to a magnificent dinner.
“This is a very fun event that sells out every year,” said Eileen Pelky, chair of this year's event. While Eileen is looking forward to another fun and successful year, she needs your help. If you would like to volunteer, please call Eileen at 858-551-4511.
Foundation President, Jeff Jeffery, commented, “It is our biggest kickoff event of the school year, and we are grateful that so many restaurants support this important fundraising event.” Jeffery elaborated, “Proceeds from this event help fund our college and school counselors, substantial textbook and classroom supplies, athletic equipment, computers and other essentials.
Tickets are $40.00 per person in advance, or $45.00 per person at the door (Check-in will be at The Cottage restaurant). Tickets will be available at the Foundation office on campus, directly from Board Members, or call the Foundation at 858-551-1250.
