YOUR URGENT ACTION IS NEEDED!
We have all been reading, with increasing alarm, about the proposed statewide school budget cuts. We have just been informed that, as of now, for 2008-2009, La Jolla High School will be losing 1 English teacher, 1 Social Studies teacher, 2 teachers in World Languages, 1 counselor, and the librarian due to untenable budget cuts.
Our students need your help! Please take immediate action and donate to the The Foundation of La Jolla High School, Inc. We will be working closely with the school to design workable solutions to these budget cuts. The "Save Our Teachers" committee needs to raise $200,000 to save these positions and keep class size down! Our goal is to have these funds in place by the end of this school year.
This is a targeted fundraiser, and all donations will be directed to the "Save Our Teachers" line item. Please help us help the students of La Jolla High and take immediate action. With a goal of 100% oarticpation, any amount is appreciated.
