CLASSROOM RULES

1. Come prepared and on time to class with pencil, pen, notebook, paper, ready to go...and seated in your desk when class begins, not loitering nor sliding through the door.

2. Follow directions including written and verbal, preferably the first time.

3. Respect people and property which means no abusing bodies and minds (show some simple kindness for fellow human beings), and no stealing, borrowing, or damaging property (especially graffiti!)

4. No disruptions (you all know when it's not a good time to interrupt.)

5. Zero tolerance for tardies (each tardy lowers your citizenship grade one full grade...however, each tardy can be cleared by staying 15 minutes after school.)

CONSEQUENCES

1. If you break Rule #5, your citizenship grade drops a full grade (you can erase the tardy with 15 minutes after school). Truancies usually mean a U in citizenship.

2. If you break a class rule (other than #5) you will first receive a verbal warning, then a time out, then a written warning (up to three) then after school detention, then a referral.

3. Defiance or violence is an immediate referral.
