Seniors - Class of '03
It's 2003, and that means graduation is only a matter of months away. What excitement! Here are a few dates to keep in mind:
February 28 - Absolute last day to turn in Senior Ads to Mr. Christensen and the yearbook staff 454-3081 x233 - Don't miss out!
March 13 - Seniors vs. faculty basketball game
March 21 - ASB Ball
June 5 - Yearbook signing (6:00 - 8:00 p.m.)
June 6 - Prom at Casa del Prado in Balboa Park and After-Prom Party at San Diego Hard Rock Cafe
June 11 - Senior breakfast and graduation rehearsal
June 12 - Graduation and Grad Night at
Disneyland (possibly subject to change)
June 13 - Breakfast, final lesson, and distribution of diplomas (possibly subject to change)
LJHS graduation will be on June 12 rather than the district-scheduled June 13, because Disneyland does not have Grad Nights on Fridays. To comply with district rules, the seniors will need to come to school on June 13. We have planned a special breakfast after the return from Disneyland, an enjoyable "final lesson," and distribution of diplomas - all before noon. A contract which you and your senior will sign for these events will be discussed at the senior assembly and made available to you.You know all those wonderful books, flash cards, and CDs you bought for your student to use (but they probably didn't) for the SAT, ACT, and AP exams? Well, please bring them to the front office at school, and they will be sold to junior or sophomore parents at College Night on February 19. This is a fundraiser for the seniors' After-Disneyland breakfast. If you'd like to help with any of the year-end fun, let one of us know:
