Clean those Skeletons Out of your Closet! …or from your Workplace

Several departments are looking for donations of certain items.
The
English Department needs to furnish its new office.  Please contact your child's teacher or Tom Burnett, Department Chair, if you can donate bookshelves, desks, chairs, tables, couch, filing cabinets, 3-hole punch, scantron machine, microwave, paper cutter, or fax machine.
Shauna Brammer teaches
Honors Human Anatomy and Physiology and is looking for materials for a forensic anthropology unit.  Call her at 794-1755 if you have human bones to donate, especially a skull, a pelvis, or a femur.  She also needs an X-ray light box.

English Department
Enjoys New Office

The LJHS English Department finally realized a long-held dream with the renovation of the 500 building last fall, which allows us to be together in one building for the first time.  Immediate access to colleagues allows for closer collaboration and sharing of materials and ideas.  We are developing a professional office where we will set up a resource library, share materials, post news of contests for students, run a copy machine, have a central meeting place and refuge for teachers who are displaced during their prep periods, and provide a quiet place to work and return phone calls.  Please see the adjacent article asking for donations of certain items for the new office.  Thank you!
