LJHS's PTA newsletter is in transition.  Some newsletter committee members have left because their students graduated and/or transferred to other schools.  More members will be retiring in June, when their students receive diplomas.  And budget crunches are affecting our style.
We are looking for volunteers to fill the existing gaps and to enable a smooth transition to a new staff for the 2004-2005 school year.  We need these positions filled:
Publisher needed September 3 to layout the edited articles on pages.  Currently we are using MS Publisher software, but if you can do the job with another program, we'll try to be flexible.  All help is welcomed.
Sports Editor needed to type up the sports schedule for Fall (already done), Winter, and Spring.
Editor needed to take over any time before June.  Duties include editing articles and overseeing the newsletter production.
Assistant Editor needed by June to gather the articles and assist with the newsletter.

In the midst of our searches, we also are trying to reorganize the newsletter so that the same information can be presented in fewer pages.  This means that you should save the newsletters, because many items will not be repeated in other issues.  For instance, the forms for Volunteering and for Library Tribute Donations will not appear in the next few issues.  You could save them…  Or you could send them in now, before they become clutter!
